ASI INTER-AMERICA

Scarborough, Tobago | January 2026

The Honourable Farley Augustine, Chief Secretary of the Tobago House of Assembly, joined members of ASI Tobago for worship during their annual convention and later hosted the entire ASI membership at a luncheon.

His participation added a special dimension to the convention, held January 24–31, 2026, at the Good News Seventh-day Adventist Church in Scarborough under the theme “On the Edge.”

During the gathering, Mr. Augustine worshipped and fellowshipped with Rohan Riley, President of ASI Inter-American Division, and members of the ASI community. Riley opened the convention on Sabbath, January 24.

The Chief Secretary’s hospitality extended beyond the worship service. By hosting the ASI membership at a luncheon, he provided a further opportunity for fellowship and personal interaction in a welcoming setting. The occasion brought members together around the table and allowed them to spend time with Tobago’s leader.

His attendance and generous hospitality were memorable highlights of the convention, which featured Pastor Marvyn Smith, Youth Ministries Director of the Caribbean Union. Throughout the week, Pastor Smith’s presentations explored different aspects of the theme, providing spiritual encouragement and opportunities for reflection.

ASI Inter-America extends its appreciation to Mr. Augustine for sharing in worship and for the warm hospitality shown to the ASI family during the Tobago convention.
