ASI Hosts Weekly Friday Evening Vesper Services Across Inter-America

The Adventist-Laymen’s Services and Industries (ASI) Inter-American Division (ASI-IAD) has officially launched its weekly Friday evening virtual vesper service, beginning on April 25, 2025. Held every Friday at 7:30–8:30 p.m. (Miami time) via Zoom, the initiative is quickly becoming a cherished time of worship, connection, and spiritual encouragement across the division.

Each week, a different ASI chapter from the Inter-American region leads the vesper service, offering testimonies, special music, and a sermon delivered by a local layperson. The result is a rich, culturally diverse worship experience that brings ASI members together from across languages and borders.

“It’s heartwarming to see ASI members from different countries uniting in worship each week,” said Rohan Riley, President of ASI Inter-America. “Not only do we get to worship together as a multi-cultural, multi-lingual group,” he explained, “but each chapter gets the opportunity to pull together its team to present to the wider regional body.”

Riley added that the program has a deeper impact beyond spiritual inspiration.

“It’s also a team-building exercise—not only for the local chapter, but for ASI-IAD as a whole,” he said.
“It allows each territory to showcase its talents, and at the same time, strengthens bonds across the division.”

Language barriers are overcome through live interpretation, allowing participants to understand and appreciate each element of the service—whether it is offered in English, Spanish, or French. This inclusivity has helped foster a growing sense of unity and mission among ASI members, echoing the organization’s call to “Share Christ in the Marketplace.”

With inspiring testimonies of faith, soul-stirring music, and dynamic lay preaching, the weekly vesper service is quickly becoming a highlight on the ASI-IAD calendar. Members are encouraged to invite friends, family, and fellow professionals to tune in and be refreshed as the Sabbath begins.
